When God Closes A Door

Primary Scripture

“What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open.” — Revelation 3:7

Supporting Scriptures
Genesis 7:16; Proverbs 16:9

Devotional Reflection
Closed doors are painful because they remove options. They force us to face the reality that something has ended. But Scripture reminds us that God closes doors intentionally—not accidentally.

God closed the door of the ark Himself. What looked like confinement was actually protection. In the same way, God often shuts doors to keep us from returning to what He has already finished.

A closed door is not rejection. It is redirection.

Application
What door might God be closing to protect you, not punish you?

Prayer
“Lord, help me trust Your wisdom when You close doors I would have kept open.”
